Valentine's Day Surprises

(CBS4) Thursday is Valentine's Day, the day of love for people worldwide, but some people are showing love to themselves and others are paranoid of Paris. A staggering eight million Americans admit to sending themselves Valentine's Day gifts, according to Reuters.

Across the pond, over thirty percent of British lovers believe a trip to Paris is the location most likely to cause them to argue on a romantic trip. And the traditions of Valentine's Day can't even be found in Saudi Arabia. That country has banned red roses ahead of Valentine's Day, forcing couples to find new ways to show each other they care.

And, not to be left out, bookmaker Ladbrokes is offering 2-1 odds that Prince William will get down on one knee and crown his on again, off again affair with girlfriend Kate Middleton. For you royal watchers, if the Prince doesn't propose today, tradition states Middleton can ask him to marry her on February 29, since it's a Leap Year.
