Strong thunderstorms rolled across most of South Florida Tuesday, tracking their way across Broward and Miami-Dade Counties before pushing out to sea. The storms produced torrential downpours, dangerous lightning, and strong gusty winds for much of the morning.
Eventually, the storms cleared out and the sun even peeked out a little but that didn't last long.
Around 3:00 p.m., the National Weather Service began issuing a slew of severe thunderstorm watches and warnings once again for much of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, which was still drenched from the morning downpours.
The severe thunderstorm watch that was in effect for Miami-Dade and Mainland Monroe Counties expired by 9p.m., but a watch remained in effect for Broward and Palm Beach Counties until 11 p.m.
There were urban flood advisories issued for parts of eastern Broward County and northeastern Miami-Dade County in the morning as the storms produced torrential downpours across many areas including Miami Beach. That area still has a fresh memory of the flooding from June 5 of this year when as much as 10 inches fell in some areas of Miami Beach.

Temperatures Tuesday didn't break any records like on Monday, but it was still hot. High temperatures were around 90 but there are also high humidity levels to make it feel even hotter.
That combination of heat and humidity spurred the development of afternoon storms and storms may continue into the evening. Some of the storms could be strong to severe.
Tuesday night scattered showers and thunderstorms were forecast, mainly before midnight.
Wednesday is expected to be less stormy, but in the afternoon storms are possible. There will be sun and clouds. Some storms will be heavy at times. High around 90.
Wednesday through Friday: Staying unsettled with storms likely. Highs near 90 and lows in the mid to upper 70s.
Weekend: Summer sun and spotty storms with highs in the upper 80s and 90s
