MIAMI (CBS4) ― The August rainfall numbers are in showering South Florida with more than 12 inches of rain, but that won't stop this weekend as the forecast calls for widespread showers and thunderstorms with temperatures in the mid-80s. 

The National Weather Forecast reports thunderstorms will become numerous to widespread mainly over the southeast portion of South Florida on Saturday.

Slow moving thunderstorms will have the potential of producing locally heavy rains, which means low lying areas will be flood-prone.
