Group Plans To Protest Crist's Wedding
ST. PETERSBURG (AP) ―
A gay rights group says members will protest outside Florida Governor Charlie Crist's wedding later this month.
A spokeswoman for Impact Florida says the group plans to demonstrate outside Crist's wedding because he supported Amendment 2, which banned same-sex marriage in Florida.
Impact Florida says the gathering will be peaceful, with advocates wearing pink.
Crist is scheduled to marry his fiancée, Carole Rome, on December 12 at the First United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg.
