UM's Women's Tennis Coach Expecting A Little One

CORAL GABLES (CBS4) ― Since taking the helm of the women's tennis program at the University of Miami in 2001, Paige Yaroshuk-Tews has led the Hurricanes on an unprecedented run in Coral Gables that has resulted in the team reaching at least the second round of the NCAA tournament each of her six seasons atop the program.

Now, Paige is taking on the additional role of mother-to-be along with being the coach. It's her second child, but she's not phased by the pregnancy.

"Yeah, you get used to it. It's my second one. It's really not as difficult as some women make it sound," Yaroshuk-Tews said.

"I think it's actually carrying 60 pounds because of us. She's doing really well. She doesn't even talk about it," team member Laura Vallverdu said.

The coach is currently accompanying her team to the NCAA tennis tournament in Tulsa. The Hurricanes take on the Baylor Bears in the Sweet 16 on Thursday.

Yaroshu-Tews doctor said, as long as she's back by May 21, she'll be just fine.
