An All-Star exhibition basketball game and a block party wrapped up Zo's Summer Groove over the weekend.
A week of fund raising events came to close Sunday with a huge, free party in front of the American Airlines Arena. Hundreds of people attended the all day party featuring a number of bands and deejays to bounces houses and slides for some of the youngest Miami Heat fans.
"I'm having a great time with family, you got to love Zo and D-Wade for doing what they do," said James Griffin, "because this is all about the family and giving back to the kids. We just love it all."
But it wasn't all just fun and games. Booths were set up promoting HIV Awareness and companies like Colgate gave away free samples of toothpaste and body wash.
"It's something we do every year," said Colgate spokeswoman Jody Cody, "we also donate some of the products to the Camillus House for the women there."
This year Dwyane Wade's charities teamed up with Alonso Mourning's charities to produce one of the biggest celebrity studded South Florida fund raising events to date.
In its 12th year, all the proceeds from Zo's Summer Groove will go to programs that support and educate at risk children and families.
