(CBS4 I-TEAM)
  • August 21, 1997 -- Mozie's DNA sample submitted to the DNA Database following a car-jacking conviction.
 

  • July 18, 2004 -- Mozie's DNA sample matches to the January 18, 2004 rape. FDLE records show the match was made on this date. FDLE was properly notified of the match through national DNA database. MDPD says it never received the match. Mozie is not arrested.
 

  • January 28, 2005 -- Mozie arrested for attempted sexual battery in an unrelated case. Victim refuses to cooperate and Mozie is released from Miami-Dade County Jail 6 months later.
 

  • September 20, 2005 -- Mozie arrested for raping and murdering Christine Myers in Sunrise.
