Guilty Plea Expected For 'Girls Gone Wild' Creator

Joe Francis is expected to enter a guilty plea in the Los Angeles portion of a plea deal he and his company entered into for violating laws designed to prevent the sexual exploitation of minors.

The man behind those "Girls Gone Wild" videos that are advertised on late night TV is scheduled to appear in an Los Angeles courtroom Monday.
Joe Francis is expected to enter a guilty plea in the Los Angeles portion of a plea deal he and his company entered into for violating laws designed to prevent the sexual exploitation of minors.
Under the deal with Justice Department officials, Francis will personally pay a half-million dollar fine to settle charges in Los Angeles that he didn't keep records of the ages and identities of the women in his videos.
That's part of the $2.1 million that Francis and his Santa Monica-based company agreed to pay in total.
Francis could have faced jail time if his case had gone to trial.
