Beau Biden Departs For Iraq

Capt. Joseph "Beau" Biden, son of vice President-elect Joseph Biden, is greeted by Maj. Gen. Frank Vavala, adjutant general, Delaware National Guard.

Vice President-elect Joe Biden's son Beau is on his way overseas.
Beau, who is currently Delaware's Attorney General, left from Fort Bliss, Texas Wednesday with 114 soldiers from Delaware Army National Guard's 261st Theater Tactical Signal Brigade.
Beau Biden, who serves as a Captain, is a prosecutor for the 261st and its subordinate units, approximately 1,200 soldiers.
His unit is expected to arrive in Iraq in about two weeks after receiving additional training and equipment. They are scheduled to return in September 2009.
