Sen. Edward Kennedy may be making an unscheduled visit to the Democratic National Convention in Denver this week, if his doctor says it's OK.
Kennedy's son, Rhode Island Rep. Patrick Kennedy, told the Associated Press his dad will attend the event if he gets the go ahead from his physicians.
Sen. Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in May. He completed his last day of chemotherapy last month and has been recuperating at his Cape Cod home since then.
Democrats already plan to show a video-tribute to the senator Monday night.
