Ohio State Football Player Arrested In Miami
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
A soon-to-be Ohio State Buckeye may have run afoul of the law in South Florida. According to Shelly Poe, Sports Information Director at Ohio State university, future Ohio State Buckeye running back Jamaal Berry has been arrested for possession of marijuana.
Berry is from Miami Palmetto High School and is set to join the Buckeyes in the fall as a running back.
Jamaal Berry was rated as a 5-star recruit by at least one recruiting service and ESPN rated Berry as the number 3 overall running back in the country during his recruiting.
The running back chose to become a member of the Buckeyes ahead of at least 25 other schools that were recruiting him. He ran for more than 1,000 yards in 2008 and has been clocked at 4.31 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
He was released in Miami on $5,000 bond.
