Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder is expected to miss the Seminoles' game against Wake Forest on November 14th because of a shoulder injury.
Ponder separated his shoulder on Saturday in a 40-24 loss to Clemson. Ponder, third in the nation in passing yards with 2,896, was making a tackle after being intercepted when he was injured.
Florida State sports medicine director Randy Oravetz said doctors planned a further examination of Ponder's shoulder Monday to evaluate the injury.
If Ponder is sidelined, redshirt freshman EJ Manuel will make the start. Manuel has only played in three games this season, completing one pass for four yards.
