Girl Is Shot Inside Her Deerfield Beach Home

DEERFIELD BEACH (CBS4) ― A toddler was shot while inside her home in Deerfield Beach Thursday night.

Police were called out to the 4700 block of NE 2nd Terrace at about 9:49p.m. regarding a girl, approximately 3-years-old, shot in the leg. When they got there they found the girl injured from a shot that emanated from outside the home.

Her injuries were originally reported to be non-life threatening. Fire Rescue transported her to Broward General Medical Center.

Detectives were called out to the scene trying to determine how the shooting occurred. The shooter may have entered the home after the shooting, but exact details are still being gathered.
