Boil Water Order In Effect For Parts Of Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD BEACH (CBS4) ― Wednesday night the City of Hollywood issued a boil water notice for parts of Hollywood Beach

Public utility officials say a construction crew struck a water main by the beach, causing substantial damage, and a possible contamination hazard. Because of this, residents in the affected area are asked to boil their drinking water if they take it from the tap.

The affected area is confined from Iris Terrace south to Azalea Terrace, and from A1A west to the Intracoastal Waterway.

Residents should bring all water used for consumption or cooking to a rolling boil for at least one minute. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
