MDFR Saves Man Pinned By Car In Lake

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) ― Tuesday evening a Miami-Dade Firefighter helped rescue a man trappedĀ under a car that went into a lake in Southwest Miami-Dade.

At approximately 6:06 p.m. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a report of a car that had gone into a lake on North Meadow Lake Drive and SW 152 Avenue. When they got there they found the man had been ejected from his yellow Ford Mustang and was pinned underneath the vehicle.

The Mustang had apparently gone off the road, crashed through a wood fence and continued through the back yard of a house before going into the lake.

Firefighters used their own strength to help lift the rear end of the vehicle off of the 24-year-old victim and got him out.

Rescue helicopter transported him to the hospital for treatment.

Miami-Dade Police is investigating the crash.
