Man Is Accused Of Impersonating Police In Hialeah

HIALEAH (CBS4) ― A man stopped by police in Hialeah Wednesday afternoon has been accused of impersonating a police officer.

Police detained Tairen Gage in a traffic stop on Okeechobee Road by the Palmetto Expressway. They originally took him in on suspicion of a robbery that occurred a few weeks ago, but they say they found a hat that said police on it, and he was dressed in a uniform that was all in black.

Gage is charged with impersonating a police officer, tampering with evidence and faces other charges.
