Get Away For Just A Day-One Tank Trips
CBS4.com One Tank Trips help you explore the state which attracts millions of tourists from around the world ever year, while many of us who live here never explore the same fun and amazing things they come to see.
There's a world of wonder right in our backyard, but many of us never get out to see it.
One Tank Trips is intended to make that easier, by pointing out great one day (or 2) adventures which you can enjoy on a single tank of gas. No need to hop on a plane or make long, complicated arrangements. Just pick a location, pick a day, full up the tank, and take off!
Of course, there are no rules. Maybe you want to pick a number of stops and combine them, for a One Tank A Day Vacation. Or, make a trip to one of the state's mega-attractions, use that as a base, and then, when you've had your fill of that type of fun, make a f ew side-trips off the beaten path and discover the Florida most of us miss.
We have our own suggestions, but we also want yours! If you've enjoyed an attraction (or a natural wonder) with your family and it's not on our list, let us know, and we'll share it with everyone. Just make sure it can be reached on a single tank of gas (about 250-300 miles) and it's something out-of-the ordinary, and we'll take it from there!
