Missing Ft. Lauderdale Police Dog Has Been Found

She's Been Reunited With Her Handler

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) ― The Fort Lauderdale Police Department would like to thank the public for its help in locating a missing drug detection dog which has been reunited with its handler.

Sasha went missing from her handler's home on Sunday, August 24, at approximately 5:00 p.m. She was last seen in the Western Sunrise area. However, after the story of her disappearance aired on Monday afternoon newscasts, the Fort Lauderdale Police Department received a telephone call that Sasha had been picked up by animal control officers.

She is now back home with her handler.

The police department and her handler were concerned for Sasha's safety because she's afraid of thunder and lightning and does cope well when its stormy outside.
