No-Kill Shelter Pet Rescue Miami Closing Its Doors

MIAMI (CBS4) ― After serving Miami-Dade for nearly three decades, Pet Rescue Miami will be closing its doors in the coming weeks.

Founded in 1982, the no-kill shelter at 3440 Northwest 191st Street has helped thousands of stray or abandoned dogs and cats find new homes. Now because of a drastic cut in donations and people willing to volunteer their time, those who run the shelter say they are no longer able to keep it open.

There are currently more than one hundred cats and a dozen dogs in the shelter that need homes. If you would like to adopt one, Click Here for information.
