Florida's Rep. Klein "We Have No Time To Waste"

"We, As A Nation, Face An Energy Crisis."

DEERFIELD BEACH (CBS4) ―

Rep. Ron Klein, D-Boca Raton, joined local business owners and residents in South Florida on Thursday to address high gas prices and the nation's oil addiction.

Rep. Klein, visiting constituents in Deerfield Beach and Boca Raton, spoke of his "Declaration of Energy Independence", a five-point plan to address high gas prices in the short term and ending the nation's oil addiction in the long term.

He called on entrepreneurs and scientists to be enlisted on the cutting edge of alternative energy research.

He said, "Whether the solution is wind, wave, solar, or any number of other renewable energy sources, I am confident that American innovation can solve our energy crisis."
