Tylenol Call Center: 1-800-962-5357
NEW YORK (CBS4) ―
The makers of Children's Tylenol announced on Thursday a voluntary recall of over 20 children's and infants liquid products. The recall applies to select lots of the products after a bacterium was found in the medicine manufactured between April and June 2008.
The bacteria were believed to be in the inactive ingredients in the products. The recall is at both the warehouse and retail levels. However, the packaged product, shipped to retailers by the company, has met all specifications.
Products already on store shelves have been deemed to be safe by Tylenol's maker, McNeil Consumer Healthcare.
The recalled products include: Children's Tylenol Cold MS Suspension 4 oz. Grape, Children's Tylenol Plus Cough & Runny Nose 4 oz. Cherry, and Infant's Tylenol Suspension Drop 1 oz. Grape.
If you have any of these meds, you are encouraged to call 1-800-962-5357. You can also check the lot number on the product and compare it to the list found on
