TS Fay: Closures In Miami Dade

The following are closed in Miami Dade due to Tropical Storm Fay:


  • All federal, state and county courts
  • Public schools - Monday and Tuesday
  • Biscayne National Park - all park facilities (including those on Boca Chita, Elliott and Adams Keys) and the mainland area at Convoy Point (9 miles east of Homestead), boat tours, and visitor services are closed to the public. The park waters will remain open for vessel transit.


Originally closed, Miami Dade announced around 6 p.m. that Early Voting locations would be open on Monday.

The City of Miami, along with North Miami, will close at 1 p.m. on Monday. Courts in Miami-Dade are closed until Wednesday. Florida International University also closed its doors on Monday. Public libraries in Miami-Dade will be closed on both Monday and Tuesday.

There are no reported closures, or special scheduling, in the City of Miami Beach which plans to have normal programs, services and operations.
