South Floridians are doing their best to try and keep up with difficult economic conditions, but things are even harder with unemployment numbers reaching new highs since the 1990s.
But two agencies are reaching out and making themselves available to help people searching for jobs. They are Miami-based WorkSquare and Lauderhill-based WorkForce One.
WorkSquare is a private for-profit company dedicated to their social mission of helping low-wage workers find employment.
Workers at the companies assist in placing people into positions ranging from part-time construction work to $100 thousand professional positions. Jobs can be found anywhere in Florida. Right now, there are 15 positions in the companies' databases that pay more than $100 thousand. The government provides grants to businesses who hire through the companies.
WorkSquare caters to many different types of job. You can contact them by calling 888-815-9994.
WorkForce One caters to professional positions and can be reached at 954-535-2300.
