40 Years, 40 Families Winners

El Dorado Furniture is currently celebrating its 40th Anniversary. As a sign of the Capo Family's appreciation of its 40 years of success in South Florida, they held an unprecedented community program called: 40 Years, 40 Families in which 40 needy families were chosen as recipients of furniture for their homes. Here are some of the winners that have not been previously featured on CBS4 News and CBS4.COM.

Carmen E. Alicea is a widow with two sons in high school. Her husband passed away suddenly two years ago. His death was tough on Carmen sending her into a deep depression. While she was off getting treatment, her own children broke into her home and stole everything. They took what they wanted and destroyed the rest. Just last August, after a lengthy legal process, Alicea attained a court order to remove her children from her home.
