A teacher was shot late Tuesday morning near Carol City High School as he was taking a smoking break off campus. Two men attempted to rob the teacher, and shots were fired. Three schools were placed on lockdown when the gunmen fled into a nearby apartment complex, and the teacher was rushed to the hospital.
