The Mustang Corner wildfire has burned over 40 thousand acres of land in the Everglades. The fire burned uncontrolled through much of its first week and has continued to march northward. Air conditions over the area have deteriorated due to the massive amounts of smoke from the fire. The name, Mustang Corner, was given to the fire due to where it originated.
