Plane Disintegrates As It Hits Oakland Park Home

A small plane developed a problem shortly after takeoff and slammed to the ground in an Oakland Park Neighborhood. A house was destroyed and the plane disintegrated, apparently killing the pilot. The home was virtually split in 2 by the fire, and the plane was liottle more than a pile of rubble.

Motorists driving on Andrews Avenue could see a plume of thick black smoke rising from a nearby residential neighborhood. It was just before 11:30 a.m.
