    Tyler Hansbrough (dunking) and top seed North Carolina steamrolled Arkansas, 108-77, to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. The Tar Heels outscored their first two opponents 221-151.

In the second round of the NCAA men's hoops tourney, top seeds North Carolina and Kansas stormed into the Sweet 16, while number-ones Memphis and UCLA squeaked by. Round 2 also saw major trouble for all four No. 2 seeds. Two survived, but the two others weren't as lucky.
