Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."


THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

While at the gym, Karen witnesses an awkward encounter between Cane and Lily.  After Cane leaves, Karen questions Lily. Lily replies that they are just friends, which she is clearly not thrilled about. Neil invites Karen to spend Christmas with himself and his kids. However, Karen is weary and says she would like to have Lily and Devon's blessing first. At the coffeehouse, Devon is asking Lily about Cane when Neil approaches.  He asks them if he can invite Karen for Christmas. They both tell him its okay.  Later, Neil lets Karen know that the kids are happy to have her for Christmas and also that Cane ended things with Lily.  Karen can see how thrilled Neil is on both accounts. At Kevin's apartment, Daniel finds Amber setting up Christmas decorations and putting away presents.  Kevin wonders where she got the money to pay for them.  Amber covers by saying that it's from her pre-CD release sales.  Daniel asks to see Amber's website for her CD. Daniel notices that her sales don't seem to match all the money Amber has been spending.  Later, Daniel invites her to spend Christmas with his family but Amber is holding out for an invitation from Kay. At the coffeehouse, Amber admits to Cane that she bought him something for Christmas, but Cane refuses to accept it. Nikki asks Kay to join her in her lawsuit against Victor.  Kay agrees to consider it, but will need to talk to Victor first. David shows Nikki the lawsuit papers her lawyers drew up.  After seeing the papers, Nikki starts to wonder if she is doing the right thing. Victor confides in Neil that Nikki is suing him. Kay visits Victor at the ranch to try to dissuade him from calling in the loan.  When Victor refuses, Kay tries to show him that this is not about business. Later, Kay agrees to join Nikki's lawsuit. Maggie arrives at the ranch and informs Victor that the police have DNA proof that Victor was with Ji Min on the day he died.




THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Brooke convinces the shooter to confess.  Stephanie goes to see Eric at his hotel room but finds Donna instead.  Donna demands to Stephanie that if she continues to pressure Eric to come back to her, Donna will make things ugly between them all. If Stephanie truly loves Eric, she will let him go.  Later, Eric returns to his hotel room to Donna who confesses that she has committed herself to him forever and asks if he could do the same for her. 

AS THE WORLD TURNS

Henry gives Vienna a puppy for Christmas.  Initially upset because a puppy is a poor substitute for a baby, Vienna eventually falls in love with it and names it "Pepper." Bonnie finds out her Christmas gift to Sarah was returned unopened. Dallas is still worried about Bonnie's relationship with Holden. Noah is welcomed to the farm for Christmas. Holden and Lily agree to make as nice a Christmas as possible for the kids. Luke walks across the kitchen. Holden tells Bonnie about Luke being able to walk again.  Bonnie asks if he's sure he wants to proceed with the divorce. Lily returns and finds Bonnie and Holden together. Luke and Noah say they love each other. Sofie realizes how unprepared she is to take care of a baby. Sofie has been called to talk to someone from Social Services. The social services woman tells Sofie she will have to make a decision, soon. Sofie shows up, says she needs to ask Will and Gwen a question. Sofie tells Gwen and Will she will give them her baby. 



GUIDING LIGHT

Buzz grants Bill the Main Street project as long as he saves Company. Doris steps

up for Buzz, forcing the superintendent to pay Buzz respect. Mallet tells Buzz he wants to look deeper into the election case so he can prove Buzz is a clean politician. Buzz covers how troubled he is.

After getting a card from Phillip, frightened Lizzie asks to hide out in Bill's room. Bill postpones a press conference to stay with Lizzie. The moment is charged as Lizzie and Bill realize neither has a place to go for Christmas. A tipsy Ava interrupts, planting a kiss on Bill. Ava likes that she and Bill just use each other for sex, but Bill blows her off, distracted by Lizzie's exit. Later, Bill sees Lizzie holding the interview he'd originally scheduled-outing him as a womanizer and for turning on his family to get his hands on the company.

Coop and Ashlee get ready to meet with a Superintendent to pitch their idea for Youth Advisors but Ava blackmails Ashlee to keep her away from the meeting. Ashlee tells Coop she can't go to the meeting, and Ava works with Coop. Ashlee tells Coop that this may not be the last time she runs off without explanation, but that it doesn't mean she doesn't want to be with him. Dinah and Mallet can't keep their hands off each other and head to Mallet's place as they begin to make love. Billy and Vanessa are surprised as Dinah confesses that she was responsible for outing Billy as a drunk-and that she's checking into rehab herself. Vanessa is proud but surprised to hear about her pill addiction. We realize Dinah faked her way into rehab and is cahoots with Bill, to spy on Billy!
