April 22 - Daily Soaps Update
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS
Jeff tries to find out from Alistair if he slept with Gloria. Gloria is in no
mood to play games when she sees Jeff and Alistair together at the club.
Jeff announces their marriage is over and he hints at turning her in. Jeff
is shocked, however, when she doesn't fight back. When Alistair
can't bring
Jill any new information on Jeff and Gloria she informs him that their deal is
at an end. Later, Alistair buys himself more time when he explains to Jill
that Jeff threatened Gloria with jail time. Jeff informs Michael that he is
divorcing Gloria and that he is concerned for her.
Jeff asks Jack to allow
Gloria to move back into the mansion. Jeff tries to compel Jack with his
feelings for Gloria but Jack utterly refuses. Gloria sees how hell-bent on
revenge Michael is and points out that he reminds her of her. Later, Gloria
and Jeff finally talk but neither can admit
their true feelings to the
other. Meanwhile, when Michael can't convince himself that the lawsuit is
truly for Lauren and Fen, he makes a decision about the lawsuit. Although Lauren
doesn't say, Michael realizes she wants him to drop his lawsuit against
Jack. Jack calls out to John. When
John doesn't appear, Jack calls Ashley,
asking her to come home soon. Adam runs into Felicia again at the
coffeehouse and they discuss how different Nick and Adam are. Victor assures
Sabrina that he didn't hire her because he was interested in her
romantically. Victoria is very cold with Victor when he asks to speak to
her. Victor is stunned by Victoria's level of anger towards both him and
Sabrina. Nick runs into Victor leaving Victoria's office and points out that the
more Victor tries to control the people in his life the less control he
retains. Later, Nick takes Victoria out to cheer her up but they both end
up wondering if Victor ever truly cared about them. Before Adam leaves for
New York, Victor informs him that he will be increasing his responsibilities
at Newman when he returns.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
The judge rules that Taylor's parental rights are to be reinstated. After
the hearing, Brooke stops Taylor and asks if she could please have a place
in Jack's life. Brooke then pleads to Taylor to please not marry Rick or
take their relationship any further because it could only lead to hurt.
Rick walks up and asks if Taylor is going to listen to him or Brooke. After
presenting Ashley with a gift, Storm confesses to her that he feels that
there is potential between the two of them and asks her not to let Ridge
wreck it. Later, Storm reveals to Katie his fear that Ashley knows about
him shooting Stephanie. Katie and Storm are unaware of Nick overhearing their
conversation.
AS THE WORLD TURNS
Chris is excited about Alison's nursing school plans, but Alison is reluctant
about obtaining Emily's signature to get the money she needs for school.
Casey tells Margo he got fired, just as Emily arrives. Emily offers Casey a
job as her assistant. Emily tells Casey to tell Alison and Chris she's not
there. Alison resents being put off by Emily, but hands Casey the papers to get
Emily's signature. Casey convinces Chris to leaves so Alison and Emily can
talk. Emily signs Alison's application, and encourages Casey to keep working
for her.
Lily's in a good mood and glad that she and Holden are in a good place until
she sees he's holding her Dusty mementoes. Holden insists he has no quarrel
with Lily's ongoing attachment to Dusty; but he does resent her need to lie
about it. Holden doesn't want a divorce but urges Lily to find a
way to get
past these lies before she destroys them. Lucinda suggests Lily go to Iva's for
a rest. Holden agrees that Lily's leaving is for the best. When Holden
blurts that Lily's gone, Carly comforts him.
Jack wakes up to determined Carly who wants him to go. Carly maintains that
pretending she and Jack have a warm and loving relationship is harmful to
the kids, Jack reluctantly agrees. Carly shows no emotion as Jack leaves,
but instructs him to call before he comes to talk to the kids.
Margo boosts
disheartened Jack by reminding he still has his kids and his work. Jack can't
believe he's reached the end of the line with Carly.
Katie's taken aback at Brad's unwillingness to get pregnant. Brad reassures
Katie they'll have sex as soon as he gets condoms, but she's no longer in
the mood. Katie walks out on Brad claiming she needs air. Brad reassures
Katie that he wants kids, but he also wants a strong marriage with Katie.
GUIDING LIGHT
Harley tells Cyrus she wants to close out Gus's caseload. Buzz pushes Cyrus
to work harder because Harley and the boys deserve more than he's giving.
Cyrus, in uniform, dismantles the alarm to a house. Cyrus breaks into the
house, but the alarm blares. He quickly hides.
Coop is concerned Ashlee's overexerting herself too soon after surgery. Doris
suggests helping Ashlee through the post-surgery diet by doing it with her.
Ashlee forces Coop to go to his shoot instead of hanging with her, but later
surprises Coop at the photo shoot. Concerned, he cuts his photo shoot short.
Coop and Ashlee begin to kiss, but as she reaches for him, she winces in
pain.
Bill says he gets nervous when Lizzie is overly nice to Ava. Lizzie tells
Bill that her mother is calling her but it's actually Remy, asking for a pay
raise. Remy tries to ask Ava out but she turns him down cold, saying she's
got a man. Lizzie let's Ava believe that Bill can't stop talking about the
baby. Bill finds Lizzie in tears claiming Ava took her dollhouse. Ava defends
herself, upset Bill is accusing her of stealing. When Remy picks her up Ava
kisses Remy on the cheek, thanking him. Later, Ava learns she's
pregnant.
Harley forces Cassie to have dinner with her and Cyrus. Harley sends her off
to help Cyrus. Cassie feels bad about their affair, but Cyrus tells her to
just let it go. Cassie and Cyrus avoid eye contact as Harley toasts to
them-two people she loves very much. Harley hears that the SPD is in a
hiring freeze and rushes off, leaving Cyrus and Cassie alone. Harley talks
Doris into giving her a place at the SPD despite the freeze.
