April 18 - Daily Soaps Update
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Michael, Lauren and Kevin are shocked by Gloria's makeover. Gloria hopes her
sincerity will persuade them to let her move in. Michael, however, refuses
to let her move in under any circumstance. Alistair arrives at Jabot, nearly
scaring the employees to death. Jill declares to Alistair that if he
doesn't find out what is going on between Jeff and Gloria soon she will cut
him off. Jeff spills his heart out to Gloria through the door of her
G.C.A.C. suite, only to find out that he was talking to the maid. Kevin
explains to Gloria that as long as she has feelings for Jeff, he will
continue to have the upper hand. Jack overhears Gloria ask Michael to drop the
lawsuit against him. Michael, Lauren, Kevin, Jack and Sharon wonder what is
going on with Gloria. Jeff and Gloria try to use Alistair and Jill to make
the other jealous, unaware that Jill and Alistair have their own agenda.
Later, Gloria sets Jeff up to see her in a passionate embrace with Alistair.
Jack realizes that his victory over Gloria is hollow because John's presence is
gone. Sharon reminds Jack that there is still a John Abbott in the mansion
- otherwise known as Jack. Jack and Sharon celebrate having the mansion
back. Jill informs Kay that Lily is pregnant and begins to make plans. Kay
reminds her that this is Lily's baby and Lily's decision. Cane is thrilled
when Lily assures him that she wants to keep the baby. Lily shares with Devon
and Colleen that she is keeping the baby. They wonder how it is going to
work with Cane, and school, modeling, etc. Lily gets upset as she starts to
feel the pressure. Cane and Neil battle over whom will be Lily's support
system for the baby. Cane confides in Kay that he wants to raise this child with
Lily, not Neil. Madame Chauvin calls Lily to meet her. When she arrives,
Cane is waiting for her. He asks Lily to marry him. Cane gives her Kay's
ring but before he gets an answer Lily takes off. Neil confides in Devon
that he is willing to give up anything to help Lily through this pregnancy.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
Nick and Taylor separately receive Taylor's psychological evaluation via
messenger. The evaluation reads that the court finds Taylor competent of
raising a child and a hearing will be conducted the following day to
determine custody of Jack. Brooke is appalled by the results and asks Nick
to hold off on joint custody until Taylor and Rick break up. Brooke is
confident the break-up will eventually happen; if it doesn't, it would be
her worst nightmare come true. Rick is baffled that Taylor isn't excited
about the results of her evaluation. Through her lingering anger towards
Brooke, Taylor vows that she will never again allow other people to control her
or that Rick doesn't belong in her life.
AS THE WORLD TURNS
Paul asks for Sofie's advice on sweeping Meg off her feet. Sofie suggests
Paul take Meg up in a hot air balloon. Paul arranges the balloon ride for
Meg, making Sofie jealous.
Mike confesses to Meg his upset that he and Katie are over. The balloon guy
arrives, causing confusion. Unaware that Paul ordered the balloon, Mike
suggests he and Meg take the balloon ride for themselves. Meg and Mike float
away as Paul arrives, too late.
Casey and Luke prepare to shoot Noah carrying Ameera across the threshold.
Ameera surprises Noah with a kiss as he carries her across the threshold.
Uncomfortable, Luke calls a lunch break. Ameera is jealous of Noah and Luke,
and Casey calls her on it. He asks Ameera to decide whether he should remain
part of the "foursome" or not. Luke heads him off, urging him to stay, that
maybe something will develop with Ameera. Casey tells Luke that Ameera is
after Noah. Luke tells Noah the situation with Ameera, but Noah refuses to
believe it. He declares his love for Luke, only to back away from him as
Ameera enters causing hurt Luke to leave.
Alison and Chris run into Emily, then ignore her. Emily confronts Chris, who
puts her in her place, then goes to Sofie. Chris inquires after Sofie, and
then suggests she, Aaron, Ali and himself double date. Chris praises
Alison's care of Barbara and asks her to dinner with Sofie and Aaron. Aaron
doesn't trust Chris, doesn't want to have dinner with him, but Sofie changes his
mind. Emily walks in on Alison trying on dresses for Chris, and accuses
Alison of being a slut. Chris convinces Alison not to take Emily's insults
to heart, and buys her the dress.
GUIDING LIGHT
Ava wants a pregnancy test but Dr. Meredith says it's too early to get any
results. Bill bumps into Ava carrying some brochures on artificial
insemination, but doesn't notice them. Bill pushes to see the doctor; Ava
stalls, then hears Dr. Meredith calling and runs off. Dinah tells Lizzie
she's rooting for her and Bill. Ava stops to gloat about Bill and his
interest in her pregnancy. Lizzie tries to be nice, but tells Ava if war is
what she wants, she's got it. Bill tells Ava he's serious about their child
and wants to be involved. He gives her a book of baby names and they look
through it together.
Olivia awakes to find Natalia has brought her lunch, but Olivia refuses to
eat. Natalia asks Ava to try and get Olivia to eat something. Ava reveals to
Olivia her plan for artificial insemination.
Natalia storms in with a bag full of various juices, determined once again to
revive Olivia. Olivia finally consents, and Natalia is thrilled.
Alan tries to bargain with Dinah, but she won't have any of it and has
security escort him from the house. Dinah knows that eventually Alan will
come after her. Dinah tells Bill she just spilled the beans to Alan. Vanessa
walks in, tells Dinah she's worried about repercussions from Alan, and
confronts Bill about Ava's pregnancy. Bill and Dinah talk over drinks, both
confidant they'll be able to handle Ava and Alan.
