April 18 - Daily Soaps Update
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Amber and Daniel start their first date at Indigo, which isn't going well,
when Lily and Cane
enter. Lily and Cane approach Daniel and Amber. The
conversation is surprisingly pleasant and
Daniel and Amber agree that
pregnancy suits Lily. As Amber and Daniel's date fizzles they agree to
be
friends only, but it doesn't last long. They end up in a passionate kiss.
Daniel confesses to
Amber that he sees a future with her. Lily sees that
there is something wrong with Neil but he
doesn't want to talk about it.
Later, Cane gives Lily a mother and child pendant and she truly
touched by
his level of commitment. Lily and Cane plan for the ultrasound tomorrow and
decide on
names: Drucilla Jill, or Drew James. Karen returns from her trip
but her decision to move out
hasn't changed. Jeff wonders what is going on
with Gloria. Jeff thinks she has lost her mind for
wanting to adopt a
child. Later, Jeff tries to make Gloria see that her unselfish acts have
selfish motives. Victoria, Nick, J.T. and Phyllis are having dinner when
Victoria asks Phyllis to
be Reed's godmother. Although skeptical about why
she is extending the offer, Phyllis happily
accepts. Adam approaches Nick,
Phyllis, Victoria and J.T. to say hello. Phyllis comments to Adam
that she
saw him in New York with a woman but Adam replies that it wasn't him. Nick
informs J.T.
that he is going to keep Adam close to try and figure out what
is going on with his half-brother,
while J.T. continues to do a background
check. Sabrina figures out that she was riding Nikki's
mare and begins to
wonder if Victor is actually over Nikki. Sabrina informs Victor that she won't
be at the christening, but Victor insists that he wants her there and she
agrees to go. At the Newman ranch, Adam tries to stop Victoria from seeing
Victor and Sabrina post-love making but she pushes passed him and is shocked
by what she sees. Adam stops by to check on Victoria but ends up insulting
her and Victoria throws him out. After a few drinks at the G.C.A.C., Gloria
finally opens up to Jeff about her true feelings for him, then runs out.
Later, Jeff shows up at Gloria's G.C.A.C. suite and they end up making
love.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
Brooke shares with Donna that Storm has been dating Ashley and how Ridge
disapproves. The sisters know that Storm could never hurt anyone ever again
and wish that Ridge would understand how much Storm has done for their
family. Brooke hopes that Ashley is able to see the goodness in Storm
despite Ridge's warning. Bridget pays a visit to Nick, happy to see that
Katie is not there, and hopes for a quiet night home alone with him. When
discussing Storm and Ashley, Bridget becomes offended by Nick's attitude
towards Storm and his protectiveness of Ashley. Nick is unable to admit to
Bridget why he dislikes Storm because of the promise he made to Katie to keep
her family's secret. Bridget senses that Nick has something against Storm
and confronts him about it.
AS THE WORLD TURNS
Jack and Carly argue about him seeing the kids. Holden tries to cheer up the
girls, who miss Lily. Holden and Carly are glad when their two families meet
in the park. Parker has an accident on his skateboard. Holden calms everyone
down and drives Parker to the hospital. Jack wants to know what happened to
Parker.
Mike wants to know if Meg wants to come with him when he talks to a
contractor. Barbara tells Paul to go beg Meg's forgiveness. Paul agrees to
go see Meg, but when he sees her with Mike he gets angry. Sofie realizes she
forgot about meeting Aaron. Meg won't accept Paul's apology. Aaron asks
Sofie if she spent the night with Paul, and tells Sofie she's on her own.
Liberty wants to talk to Brad, but Kim won't let Liberty see Brad. Katie is
upset that Brad keeps focusing on her past. Liberty sneaks past the crew to
see Brad, and tells Brad she's his daughter.
GUIDING LIGHT
Harley comes by to see Cassie. Harley senses something happened between Josh
and Cassie before he'd left and wants them to work it out. Mallet assigns
Harley to desk duty until she's ready to be out in the field again. Cassie
learns that Harley asked Cyrus to move out. Josh returns. He hesitates
following Cassie into the house but does. Cassie wants to move past what she's
done but Josh isn't ready. Cyrus asks Harley if he can come in and get his
stuff. Harley can't let Cyrus leave and runs into his arms and kisses him.
Cassie seizes the moment and kisses Josh, but he pulls away. Harley asks
Cyrus to leave after they've made love-just until she figures out what comes
next.
Alan learns Ava is pregnant with Bill's baby and that Lizzie is still with
him. Dinah thinks Spaulding is ripe for a take over and thinks Bill is the
man to do it. Alan tells Mallet that people are talking-they find it odd
that Mallet's ride to the top coincides with Dinah's. Bill asks Lizzie if
she trusts him and tells Lizzie about the merger and offers to walk away if
she's against it. She says she supports it and he should go ahead as
planned.
