May 23 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Gloria and Jana look at Cassie's Corner that Kevin has put back up for the anniversary and their hearts go out to Nick and Sharon.  At Restless Style, Nick is hurting because he can't remember the day of Cassie's death.  , Nikki tries to reach out to Victor, who she can see is in pain, but he lashes out at her. Victor insists that Adam not to take on any new projects without his approval. Nikki visits Cassie's grave and finds a large bouquet that Victor left. As Daniel visit's Cassie's memorial, he worries to Kevin that no matter what decision he makes about the tour, someone will end up getting hurt. Danny and Phyllis get into an argument over whether or not Daniel should go on tour. Daniel opens up to Amber about the night Cassie died and his regrets.  Amber admits to Daniel her fears of him going on tour with Danny.  Gloria painfully writes a check for half her fortune to the charities she has chosen.  Later, Gloria asks Jack why he hates her so much, and he throws her self pity back in her face. Jack's foundation worker, Al Franklin, announces to Nick and Sharon that an anonymous donor gave five million dollars to the Abbott Foundation, and two million to Cassie's Challenge.  Jack wonders who the donor could be.  Meanwhile, Gloria receives a package filled with her diamonds. Paul informs J.T. that he landed in Bermuda and gets David's ex-wives name: Elizabeth Hartford.  Meanwhile, David loses a big bet. Paul tracks down Elizabeth Hartford, only to have her slam the door in his face.  At the coffeehouse, David meets with Walter to get a loan, assuring him that his accounts will be joined with Nikki's soon. Elizabeth confesses to Paul that she believes David was responsible for the deaths of his other two wives. Noah asks Nick to play basketball with him at the G.C.A.C. but Nick puts his foot down, and insists that he start studying. Sharon and Noah share a moment as they miss Cassie together.  Meanwhile, Nick is sideswiped in his car and heads out of control.



THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL 

Marcus recounts his search for Donna. Donna explains how giving him up for adoption was the hardest thing she ever had to do.  Donna and Marcus' emotional reunion is cut short when he becomes resentful towards her for abandoning him.  All but Brooke are in agreement about Eric stepping down as CEO of the company.  While Eric is in his office with Stephanie, he is blindsided by his family and their suggestion.  Eric is so confident in his new wife that he makes a deal with Ridge; if Donna brings any scandal to the company, Eric will step down.     




AS THE WORLD TURNS 

Lily tries to make it up to her family by cooking a big breakfast, but the kids blow it off and leave. Holden says that's not going to help and Lily only sighs, wishing she knew what would. Holden suggests they just take it one day at a time. Later, Carly shows up to check on Lily and suggests that Lily, like Carly, try moving away from her husband. When Holden returns, Lily shocks him by saying she wants to take the kids and move back home. Holden agrees but later, goes to Carly and lashes out for interfering in his life.

Liberty tells Brad and Katie she wants to stay with them instead of Janet. They are hesitant but
convinced when Liberty talks about the faults in Janet's parenting. Later, when Liberty shocks
Janet with the news, Brad offers to cover her expenses at the Lakeview so she can remain a part of Liberty's life. Meanwhile, Henry convinces Vienna she needs help at Al's and its Janet who first responds to the sign in the window. Vienna is about to hire her when Jack inadvertently identifies her as Brad's ex and Vienna rescinds the offer. When all this gets back to Brad, he insures Vienna that Katie wants Janet to have her independence. Only later does Brad discover Katie's true wish is to get Janet as far away from Oakdale as possible.

Noah calls Luke, telling him he's in New York and he wants information from Coyle, the State Department representative that originally contacted them about Col. Mayer. Luke does but gets a bad vibe from him and worried, decides to join Noah in New York. Meanwhile, Col. Mayer reveals he is in cahoots with Coyle and drugs Ameera to sleep.




GUIDING LIGHT

Harley fights the temptation to re-open the box with Gus's things.  Harley tells Natalia that she has signed Rafe up for a college prep course. Harley opens Gus's box and gives Natalia his leather jacket.  Realizing how much it means to Harley, Natalia tells her to keep it. They share a moment, remembering Gus.

Cassie's urgent knocking at his door awakens Cyrus but he ignores her plea for him to get to work. Cassie enters Cyrus' room and tells him to get Harley back before it's too late. Later, Harley gets a surprise visit from Cyrus, and he kisses her passionately. Post-sex, Harley is conflicted about Cyrus and reveals she's spying on Cassie for Josh.

Josh gets a mysterious visit from a woman who doesn't reveal who she is. Reva shares her movie news with Josh and asks him to help her gather material for the writer. Later, he realizes Jolene is an actress, cast to play Reva. Jolene spies on the conversation until Josh spots her and continues to irk Josh. Josh hands Harley a check to take on Cassie's case. Cassie asks Josh to move back home, and wants a night alone with Josh but he postpones. Reva senses Jeffrey wants to check on Olivia before they head out and encourages him to make sure she's okay. Natalia brings Olivia tea and catches her spying on Reva and Jeffrey.

Reva stops short when she sees Jeffrey focused on helping Olivia inside the house. Reva wants to tell Jeffrey her movie news but he postpones their conversation until after he takes Olivia to get some tests. Olivia and Jeffrey get news from the doctor that Olivia must stay inside and rest as much as possible. Olivia decides it's time to move out but Jeffrey thinks it's too soon.
