June 9 - Daily Soaps Update
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Michael explains to Gloria that there is no way she can confess because she
will take him, Kevin and Lauren down with her if she does. Meanwhile, Jeff
tries desperately to dodge Jill's questions but she continues to push for
the truth. Gloria realizes that Jeff didn't divulge to Jill about the face
cream and believes it is because he still loves her. Once everyone is gone,
Esther pieces Jeff's letter to Gloria back together. Later, Jill won't let
Gloria into the house when she comes to see Jeff. Esther gives Kay the
letter she found in Jeff's pocket. Kay confronts Jeff about the letter. Kay
tries to talk to Jill about Jeff but her defenses go up immediately.
Meanwhile, Gloria pours her heart out to Alistair about how much she loves
Jeff. Unfortunately, Jeff sees this and misinterprets her actions. Heather
bonds with her father over her expectant victory for Jabot. Paul subtly
questions Heather about David. Adam stands up to Victor when he attacks Adam
again for causing the lawsuit. David reveals to Nikki that Paul suspects he
killed his first two wives. David explains to Nikki about his first wife's
suicide. Nikki wonders if she can believe him. David then informs Nikki
about his second wife and admits that he gambled away all of her money.
Nikki asks Paul as a friend to stop investigating David. Nikki decides to
believe David's story, but Paul remains concerned. At the courthouse, the
judge rules in Newman's favor and everyone is shocked. While Victor, Adam
and Michael are elated at the outcome, a furious Jill makes it clear to
Nikki that this lawsuit is over. After winning the case, Victor lets Adam
back into his good graces. Meanwhile, Heather and Adam heat things up in the
elevator at Jabot. Nick and Sharon talk about Victor and Sabrina's wedding
and having Noah there. Nick wonders if Victor knows what it truly means to
be a father. Nick says goodbye to Noah as he leaves for summer camp.
Sabrina arrives and asks Nick to try to mend things with Victor by being a
part of the wedding. Nick is hurt to learn that Adam is Victor's best man.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
Katie's family is devastated to learn that she has stopped taking her medication
and has requested a peaceful death at home. Bridget privately informs
Brooke and Donna that Katie's symptoms are getting worse and she doesn't
expect her to live much longer. Stephanie pleads with Katie to not give up
on life without a fight and to pray for a miracle. Stephanie later puts her
past with Nick aside to admit her admiration of him for all that he has done
for Katie. Stephanie then puts Nick in the hot seat by asking him about his
feelings towards Katie. Later, Nick surprises Katie with a chance to relive
the worst night of her life, but with a happier ending.
AS THE WORLD TURNS
Brad tries to cook dinner for Liberty while Katie is out of town but makes a
mess. Janet shows up with delicious food that she plans to leave but when
she learns Katie is away, she stays to heat it up. Brad invites her to have
dinner and a hostile Liberty, still mad at the slap Janet gave her,
eventually warms up. After dinner, Brad is shocked when Janet says she wants to
stay and watch the baseball game with him. When she falls asleep on the
couch, he covers her with a blanket for the night.
Jack catches Parker with a book about getting woman and Parker confides he is
interested in a girl. Jack tells him not to play games but to let things
happen in their own time. Jack reminds Parker that he is spending the summer
at camp and Parker is relieved. Later, Liberty texts Parker to meet her in
Oldtown. She learns he is planning on going to summer camp and makes fun of him,
suggesting he is too old. Annoyed Parker leaves and returns to Jack, saying
he might not want to go to summer camp after all.
Sofie is dubious when Cole says he's come to congratulate her off the news
about her great jewelry line. Barbara arrives while he's there and Sofie
makes him hide as Barbara castigates Sofie for what she's done to Paul.
Sofie tells Cole all and the two make love. Afterward, Cole suggests Sofie
offer to drop the charges if Paul pays her and Sofie is appalled, insisting this
is not about money and throws Cole out. Meanwhile, Meg promises Paul she
will help him no matter what. She goes to Mike to ask him for help in
digging into Sofie's past. He ultimately agrees and gets the name of Sofie's
old school. At first, Paul is annoyed that Meg went to Mike for help but
understands.
GUIDING LIGHT
Reva brings food and magazines to Jeffrey, and tells him she thinks Daisy
knows where Rafe is. Doris visits Jeffrey in the hospital and tells him
she's filling in for him at work temporarily. Jeffrey calls Mallet in to
discuss Rafe's case, and how they can't let Doris beat them. Doris
interrupts Olivia's check-up, asking her if she financed Natalia's trip out
of the country. Mallet comes to the cottage to investigate and isn't sure
what he's looking for. He questions Olivia. Jeffrey, having left the
hospital, arrives at the station and finds out Doris suspended his ID.
Mallet tells him to come with him.
Cyrus walks in on Daisy and Grady, revealing that he's Grady's brother. Daisy
and Grady lie to Cyrus, telling him they met at her boarding school. Cyrus
tells Daisy to stay away from his brother. Cyrus questions Grady's motives,
when Cassie sees them in the park. Grady bolts as Cassie reveals to Cyrus
he was responsible for Tammy's death. Cyrus lies to Cassie to protect his
brother. Daisy gets overwhelmed at lunch with Reva as she thinks about Rafe
and Grady. Cyrus confronts his brother and tells him to leave town. Cassie
tells Reva she imagined she saw the guy who killed Tammy. Daisy and Grady
sit at Tammy's grave, wishing they could change the past.
