June 10 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

A tipsy Gloria interrupts a romantic moment between Jack and Sharon.  Jack assures Sharon that Gloria will be gone before Noah gets home from camp.  Moments later, Gloria and Alistair decide to go skinny-dipping. Sharon is horrified when she sees Alistair and Gloria in the pool naked.  Jack arrives and demands that they get out of the pool immediately. Jack and Sharon crack up when they realize how ludicrous Gloria's behavior is. Later, Jack calls Michael to come check on Gloria. Later, Jeff runs into Alistair at the club, who makes Jeff believe that he slept with Gloria.  Jeff punches Alistair. Kay gives Jill Jeff's letter to Gloria and she is horrified by Jeff's apparent true feelings for Gloria.  Lauren offers Gloria a job at the boutique and Michael assures Gloria that he loves her.  Moments later, Michael decides to keep looking to the future, not the past. Michael recounts the earlier events with Gloria to Lauren.  Michael explains to Lauren that he needs to learn about his father.  Lauren reveals to him that she had his grandmother's diary restored, if he is ready to read it. Michael reads his grandmother's diary, which confirms all of his worst fears.  Lauren promises Michael that just because he has his father's genes, doesn't mean he is a bad father. Lily explains to Chloe that she has decided her education is more important than her modeling career.  Knowing that Cane is watching her, Chloe does her best to accept Lily's decision. Meanwhile, Devon calls Chloe on her feelings for Cane.  Chloe kisses Devon, in hopes of making him believe that she wants him instead of Cane.  Devon is stunned.  At Restless Style, Adrian invites Amber to dinner to thank her for getting him a job. Amber asks Adrian for advice on how he deals with having a long distance relationship with Colleen.  Adrian doesn't give her the answer she was looking for.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL 

Bridget explains to Brooke and Stephanie that test results show Katie's health is rapidly deteriorating.  Stephanie questions Bridget's feeling about Nick and Katie being together knowing that Katie has a crush on Nick.  Bridget is confident that Nick is committed to her and is only doing this for Katie out of the kindness of his heart.  Katie recounts for Nick what made her prom night the worst night of her life.  During their last dance, Katie becomes so weak that Nick has to carry her up to her room.  The evening ends with an attempted goodbye and a passionate kiss.

AS THE WORLD TURNS 

Brad wakes to find Janet making breakfast in his kitchen with nothing on but a t-shirt. He rushes out to work and at the studio Kim reveals the segment for the day is on single moms. Brad panics. Not wanting to do it alone, he calls Janet to fill in as co-host. While on the air, Janet talks about how being a single mom can be empowering and calls Liberty, who is at the studio to join her on set. Liberty goes off on Janet, accusing her of being full of it and always complaining about how hard it was raising a daughter on her own. Janet agrees but the two come together in a nice moment when Janet comments on how having Brad in their lives is for the best and everyone is moved. Brad then takes Janet home but they spot Bud in the lobby. Seeing her fear, Brad invites Janet to come stay with him while Katie is out of town then fails to mention it when Katie calls.
 
Carly and Jack take JJ to the hospital and learn he has an advanced case of strep throat. Both are horrified they didn't notice the symptoms sooner and fear the worst. They bring him home, both refusing to leave his side.

Lucinda tells Lily and Holden about Luke's escapade with Ameera and Col. Mayer. Meanwhile, Luke tries to help Noah but Noah rebuffs him, angry at the way things ended with his father. Noah tells Luke he thinks they need a break. Luke is devastated and returns home. Holden advises Luke to give Noah space while Lily advises him to fight. They realize they're arguing their own cases and Luke ends up calling Noah to say he is there if Noah needs him.

GUIDING LIGHT

Ashlee panics as Coop talks about a big event where everyone goes out on a yacht and has lunch on the beach and hangs out.  While at the mall Ashlee bumps into Grady again and tells her to buy a blue dress-it'll bring out her eyes. Blake offers to help Ashlee with her dress for the party. Coop and Buzz are taken by the site of Ashlee in her new dress.  Buzz tells her they are throwing a party for Coop-and she can invite who ever she wants.

Marina reminds Mallet she's a catch, and asks Mallet if he's sure he wants to be involved with her while he's still figuring things out. Dinah sees Marina buy a present for Mallet. Grady looks at the picture of Marina, then the live version, fascinated. He gets close to Marina, but then sees Mallet. Mallet finds the helpful gifts Marina bought him and is instantly cheered up.

Dinah's on guard with Grady, wondering who he is, but invites him in for a chat anyway. Grady says he could learn a lot from her and her former partner Cyrus Foley.  She tells Grady she's gone legit, and is left slightly unsettled. Dinah feels like she's been slapped in the face when she sees Marina at Mallet's. We can tells that Mallet is conflicted as hurt Dinah walks out.

Grady asks Daisy to float him a couple of bucks, but we see him take out the cash he'd stolen from Cyrus. Daisy swipes cash from Company and gives it to Grady. Mallet thinks Daisy is hiding Rafe, and she takes off. Grady and Daisy begin to make love, and Daisy lies happily in Grady's arms after.
