June 13 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

On Father's Day, Lauren tries to cheer up a tired Michael, who spent the entire night reading his grandmother's diary. Nearby, Devon and Lily see how lonely Neil is without Karen. Nothing seems to cheer Neil up, until he gets a call from Karen, wishing him a Happy Father's Day. Heather and Adam prepare to spend their first Father's Day with Victor and Paul. Heather and Paul's Father's Day doesn't go as planned as they remember the past. Paul tries to reach out to Heather but she gets a text message and rushes off, leaving Paul alone and frustrated. Heather meets with Adam and they continue to connect over their experiences on their first Father's Day.

Victoria drops off gifts to Victor. Later, Victor calls Nick to thank him for the gift and wish him a Happy Father's Day. As everyone exchanges gifts for Nick and J.T., Nikki reminds Victoria what a miracle it is to have both she and Reed with them today.

David tries to coyly check the results of a horse race. David wins big when he hears the results. Meanwhile, Victor reveals to Adam that this isn't their first Father's Day together. Victor was at Adam's baptism on their first Father's Day. Nick and Victoria vow to never be as distant from their children as they are with Victor.

At the ranch, Victor remembers Adam's baptism and father and son share a deep bonding moment. Adam gives Victor a gift of homemade pickles and admits to Sabrina that he was wrong about her. Adam believes that she truly loves Victor. Later, Victor shows Sabrina old memorabilia from Nick and Victoria and realizes being a father is his greatest achievement.

Phyllis gives Nick a final Father's Day gift, a picture of Cassie. Victoria shows the picture to Reed, stating she is his guardian angel. At the ranch, Sabrina reveals to Victor that she is pregnant. Lauren and Gloria throw Michael a Father's Day party. Michael asks for Gloria to talk with him about his father. Gloria shares with Michael about Lowell, and he realizes that his parents were never married. Michael realizes his father may still be alive and living in Canada.


THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFULĀ 

Katie's fever has broken and her health is improving minute-by-minute. Everyone, especially Nick, is grateful to Bridget for her diligent efforts at finding a successful treatment for Katie. Later, Stephanie comforts an emotionally drained Brooke as she breaks down in tears due to all that her family has been through recently. Marcus informs Donna about the meeting that he had walked in on. Hearing this prompts Donna, once again, to postpone revealing to Eric about Marcus. Later, Marcus is forced to lie to Steffy about how he was hired at Forrester Creations. Afterwards, Pam convinces Steffy to find any information that she can on Marcus.


AS THE WORLD TURNSĀ 

Carly and Holden wake up at summer camp and get roped into orientation games. Despite their initial resistance, they end up having a great time. It is soon time to say goodbye to the kids but when Carly and Holden stop at a scenic overpass and experience yet another charged moment, their car is stolen! Without cell phones to call for help, they're forced to hitchhike and eventually they find the car. Just when it seems they are on their way, another close moment leads them into a kiss.

Off meeting with Mike about what he learned from Sofie, Meg and Paul go to where she claimed to attend high school, only to learn she lied. Meg confronts her, warning her days of lying are over. Sofie then goes to Paul, seemingly remorseful and he, off his guilt, gives her a check, encouraging her to pick up the pieces of her life by continuing with her jewelry. Paul goes to a dubious Meg to ensure their troubles are over while Sofie brings the check to Margo and it seems Paul's troubles just got worse.

Parker presents the idea of skipping camp to work at the tennis courts for summer and Jack, impressed his son got the job on his own, finally agrees. Pumped Parker goes to tell Liberty and ends up teaching her a lesson in tennis. But just when it seems he's made progress with her, Dylan shows up and Liberty leaves with him, causing Parker to wonder if he's made a mistake. Meanwhile, Janet comes to Jack's house to retrieve the soup pot she left. After helping him take care of JJ, Jack is left to wonder if there is more to Janet than it seems.


GUIDING LIGHT

Ava is just as surprised by Bill's wedding announcement as Olivia, Remy, Dinah, and Lizzie are. Lizzie fights tears after telling Bill she hopes this marriage is what he wants, then rushes out. Ava wants a little romantic time with Bill, but he urges bed rest. Later, Bill and Ava are in bed, neither looking at each other. Remy tells Dinah he's moving out unable to watch Bill and Ava together, but later decides to stay. Ava evades as Remy suggests Bill's proposal was a press stunt. Ava thinks that the only way Bill will learn the baby isn't his is if Olivia says something.

Grady asks Ashlee to go swimming tomorrow, and just misses being seen by Daisy. Buzz is thrown at Ashlee's cheery mood considering Coop had to cancel their plans for tomorrow. Grady teaches Ashlee how to swim, genuinely thrown by her nervousness. Grady lets it slip that he knows Doris is Ashlee's mom but covers. He rushes off when Daisy texts him. Daisy learns that Ashlee's mystery man is Grady. We see that Grady clearly means something to Daisy.

Alan says he'll only get back together with Beth when he's back on top and has something to offer. Grady sees Lizzie and dares her to call the cops, saying he'll just tell them that Alan set up Tammy's murder. Lizzie and Grady agree on a payoff. Grady leaves after telling Lizzie whoever broke her heart was an idiot. Alan shows Lizzie the pearls he's collected, hoping it's enough to make a necklace for Beth. Lizzie tells Alan she wants her family to live together and understands why Alan did some of the bad things he's done in the past. Bill properly asks Ava to marry him, and Lizzie walks by just in time to witness it.
