July 9 - Daily Soaps Update
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Daniel senses that something is wrong when Amber starts feeling guilty.
Daniel promises Amber that he would never cheat on her. Later, Daniel
confronts Phyllis about her attempts to break up him and Amber. Victoria
informs Sabrina that Phillipe is in Chicago showing his new collection.
Meanwhile, Jack meets with Phillipe for information on Sabrina. Victor and
Sabrina give Adrian their approval of his article. Sabrina becomes
uncomfortable when Victor mentions Sabrina's time in Paris with Phillipe at
the Pompidou. Phillipe's story about himself and Sabrina begins to change,
which starts to make Jack suspicious. Later, Victoria sees Phillipe at the club
and doesn't believe it's a coincidence that he is in the same town as
Sabrina for no real reason. Victoria explains Sabrina's history with
Phillipe to Victor and implies that Victor was her rebound man. Sabrina
comes face to face with Phillipe. Victor confronts Sabrina about having to
hear about Phillipe from Victoria. Sabrina promises that he is out of her
life and that she is happy. Nick, Sharon and Phyllis panic when the cover
model for the new issue of Restless Style that Jack booked is arrested and
can't make the photo shoot. When no one has any other options for the new
cover, Nick suggests using Sharon. When Sharon turns him down and things go
from bad to worse, Jack suggests using Victoria. Nick asks Victoria to be
their cover model, but Victoria turns him down. However, Nikki pushes her
to accept. David states to Nikki again that until he is has his addiction
under control they can't be together. Brad invites David to a high stakes
game at his house. Later, Brad isn't happy when Nikki entrusts an important
business deal to David. David takes a job from Walter. Meanwhile, Skye
arrives for Brad's game expecting David but Brad informs her that he may not
be coming. Brad invites her to stay for a drink. Later, David decides to
go to the game.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
Felicia consults Eric about Stephanie's state and lashes out at her father
when she doesn't receive the response from him that she was hoping for.
Eric checks in on Stephanie where her appearance confirms Felicia's
concern. By the pool, Donna stumbles upon a nearly-naked Owen. Startled by
Donna's entrance, Owen drops his towel, leaving him completely exposed to
Donna. Being a witness to this, Felicia later approaches Owen to meet her
the following day at the office. Brooke apologizes to Bridget for being the
interference in her last marriage to Nick and promises to not get in the way
this time. Katie informs Nick that she is moving out of his house.
AS THE WORLD TURNS
Meg worries that Mike saw something in the garden but Paul assures her he
didn't. Meanwhile, Mike tells Jack his suspicions. When Jack and Mike show
up to question Paul, Paul refuses and Jack warns he will be back with a
warrant. Paul and Meg decide they need to move the body and Meg goes to
Barbara to try and get her to leave town. Barbara realizes they think she killed
Sofie and vehemently denies. Meg and Barbara rush back to Fairwinds just as
Jack is arresting Paul for Sofie's murder. At the police station, Jack
interrogates Paul but he will only say that he didn't kill Sofie.
Emily is terrified as Margo threatens to shoot her. Casey gets between Margo
and Emily when Tom arrives and takes the gun. Margo reveals the truth about
Emily's prostitution and an outraged Tom tells Emily he is calling his
lawyer. Emily is stricken, dresses and leaves. Upset Casey goes after her
and Margo tells him not to come back. Emily goes to Worldwide where Susan finds
her and consoles her. Casey arrives but Emily kicks him out. Casey returns
home and without a word to Tom and Margo, packs a bag and leaves.
GUIDING LIGHT
We see Bill has an ad for a cabin in his hand, as Ava feels a twinge in her
stomach but decides not to over-think it. Bill tells Ava he thinks the
governor wants to endorse him as his successor and Bill wants to take Ava
and Max on a family getaway to celebrate. Lizzie tells Bill he can't
multi-task and thinks that if he's going to run for office, he should give
the company back to Lizzie. Lizzie sees the cottage picture and thinks Bill
is buying it for her and him. Olivia is skeptical that Bill can develop real
feelings for Ava, but Ava thinks the purchasing of the cottage is a sure
sign that he wants to move forward as a family
Ava doubles over in pain and tells Dinah she needs to get to the hospital.
Dinah offers to meet with the governor for Bill so he can be with Ava at the
hospital. Dinah's thrown to learn Bill rescheduled the appointment for
himself instead of letting Dinah take the meeting as agreed upon. Bill and
Ava are both relieved when they hear the baby's heart beat. Olivia tells Lizzie
to leave Bill and Ava alone. Dinah's hit as Bill tells her that he and Ava
will take the meeting with the governor together. Bill answers a call,
saying it's not a good time, as Lizzie tells him to make time for her-he
won't be sorry.
Dinah tells Mallet she's done waking up and feeling like she's not good
enough. Mallet says she's more than good enough. Mallet is struck by how
happy Marina is playing with Baby Peyton and tells Marina that he can't have
kids-so if that's something she wants in the future, this may be a problem.
Marina tells Mallet that they'll cross that bridge when they get to it.
