October 3 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Michael finds evidence of a potential witness to help River's case. Nick tries calling Noah, who hasn't been answering any of Sharon's calls. As Noah takes out his phone to see who is calling, Eden snatches it away and answers it. Sharon and Nick are caught off guard when they hear Matt yell that the keg has arrived. Later, Eden refuses to give Noah back his phone until he dances with her.

At the party, Noah is enjoying himself with Eden when Nick and Sharon arrive. They are horrified by what they see and Noah realizes he is busted. Nick and Sharon ground Noah. Nick calls Phyllis to inform her that he isn't coming home right away because he and Sharon need to talk.

Phyllis is irritated and has a fantasy of Sharon playing the victim to win Nick over. As she snaps out of it, Phyllis calls the publisher and changes the Editor's letter. Meanwhile, both Jack and Noah witness Sharon and Nick in an embrace that lasts just a bit too long.

Michael busts Eden as she attempts to sneak back into the apartment. Michael threatens to revoke his guardianship of Eden when she gives him attitude about breaking the rules. In a moment of hurt, Eden lashes out at Michael and Lauren for threatening to send her to foster care. When Eden tries to leave, Michael blurts out that River murdered a man and may be in prison for the rest of his life. Lily is moved that Colleen is willing to give up Jabot for her.

Meanwhile, Chloe squirms, wondering whether Billy will bust her to Cane. Later, Billy starts to wonder when he hears that Chloe's baby is due in April. Amber arrives and Billy makes it clear to Cane that he is sleeping with his ex-wife. Colleen encourages Lily to try online dating. Later, Daniel admires Lily and Colleen's friendship when they explain why Colleen turned down Jabot's modeling job. Lily urges Colleen to take the job at Jabot and Colleen is thrilled. Cane starts to have suspicions about Billy's behavior. Later, Cane unknowingly reveals to Billy that Chloe is really Kate Valentine.


THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Katie is rushed to the hospital, but has a miscarriage. Feeling as though her world has just come crashing down around her, Katie fears that her future with Nick is no longer. Katie looks to Jack as her beacon of hope. Refusing to lose Eric to Donna again, Stephanie prepares herself to do whatever it takes to keep the man she loves. Donna is forced to be brutally honest with Owen when he makes a final attempt at persuading her to be with him. Before sending Marcus back to the loading docks, Thorne informs him that the Forresters will be resuming their duties within the company now that Eric is back in power. Marcus opens a package for Donna and is attacked by a cobra. Pam watches as this occurs.


AS THE WORLD TURNS

Everyone prepares for the benefit party at Metro. Meg is upset that she can't reach Dusty. She goes to ask Holden what to do and Lily almost hears. They all go to Metro where the party gets underway. Lily offers to help Carly pass out champagne. Just then, Lily sees Dusty and drops the tray. Everyone reacts to Dusty being there. He tells Margo he's the missing link and she should lay off Meg. She arrests him and takes him to the station. Jack feels bad that he is left out of the loop and tells Janet she can't help. Lily finds out that Meg and Holden knew that Dusty was alive and is upset. Even though Meg says they were respecting Dusty's wishes, Holden tells her he did it for selfish reasons because he didn't want Dusty to get between them. He asks Lily if she wants him to take her home, but Lily asks him to dance with her instead. Meanwhile, Emily goes to see Dusty at the police station, slaps him across the face, then weeps in his arms.

Aaron wants to make love while he and Alison dress for the party but she refuses. He notes she's always looking for excuses not to have sex and she admits she feels bad because she can't have a baby and needs that to validate their marriage. Aaron is insulted and storms out. Alison goes to the Lakeview to find him and bumps into Chris. He presses her and she tells him she's making a mess of her marriage. Chris says that's because she doesn't love Aaron and asks her to come to Africa with him. Alison says she can't and runs away upset. Aaron sees her go, then confronts Chris, goading him until Chris tells Aaron that Alison slept with him the night before the wedding. Aaron doesn't believe him and goes home to ask Alison. Alison is forced to admit it, and Aaron is furious. Alison goes to Chris and tells him he's ruined her marriage and she will hate him forever.


GUIDING LIGHT

At the police station, Mallet tells Frank to clear his boxes out of Harley's house. Frank tells Mallet that he's going to court to hear Rafe's sentence. Mallet feels responsible for his role in Rafe's plight. At Company, Buzz tries to convince Daisy that it was the right choice for Rafe to accept the plea bargain. When Natalia enters, Daisy offers to help her with anything she needs and asks if she can come to the trial. Natalia lets Daisy come. Meanwhile, Mallet leads Rafe in and asks him if he has any second thoughts. Rafe knows he must pay for what he did and wants to end it all for his mother's sake. Mallet tells him he sounds like Gus's son. Rafe waits for court to start. Franks comforts Natalia. Mallet feels increasingly guilty. Buzz sits beside Daisy, who wishes she could have helped Rafe more. The guard leads Rafe in. It hurts Rafe too much to look at his mother but he's comforted when he sees Daisy. The judge says there will be time for testimony. He also says he has received a letter from Jeffrey asking for leniency. Frank describes the hard times Rafe has endured. Mallet says that Rafe is not a criminal-he is a kid who made a bad decision. The judge sentences Rafe to two years in state prison. Natalia embraces Rafe fiercely but the guard reminds her there's no contact allowed. Rafe wants to make sure Natalia has a life while he's away. Rafe tells Daisy he doesn't want her to wait for him.

Olivia struggles to wake up but Emma is excited that it is Olivia's first day at the new job. Olivia has on a business suit and thinks Buzz was right-she does feel like the real her. She is excited to take Emma to the mother-daughter photo shoot. Olivia is deeply affected when Buzz tells her the news about Rafe. Olivia and Emma are about to leave when Natalia, Daisy and Frank walk in. Olivia tells Natalia she's sorry then leaves with Emma. The photographer positions Olivia while Emma watches. He starts to take pictures. Meanwhile, Natalia stands in front of the cottage that Gus gave her. She tells Frank she is exactly where she wants to be and heads inside. Natalia shows Frank a large calendar hanging in her closet. She has decided to cross off each day until Rafe comes home. She gets an idea and asks Frank if she can use his fax. Rafe is surprised to get his first piece of mail-a fax from his mom. She has sent him a calendar just like the one she has with an X through the first day. It gives him just the boost he needs.

Cassie is running late so RJ suggests that Cyrus take him to school but Cassie is still uncomfortable with the idea. Cyrus is upset that Cassie still doesn't trust him. Cassie then receives a call from Josh-He's having trouble leaving the country because he is on a list that is keeping him from coming home. He needs Cassie to attend an ambassador's party and ask the ambassador to help Josh. Cassie asks Cyrus to be her escort to help her fake her way into the ambassador's party. Cyrus puts on a tux and is thrown when he sees Cassie in her knockout dress. They head out. Having fun, they don't notice a security guard behind them. He tells them that they don't belong there.
