October 7 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Jana still suspects that Kevin moved Kay's car but before she can get an answer Daniel and Amber arrive. The foursome becomes trapped at the coffeehouse by the storm outside. Jana expresses her worries to Amber about Kevin. Jana offers to do tarot readings for everyone while they are trapped in the coffeehouse. Later, Jana pegs everyone with her cards and Amber's card reveals she is living with a secret that could destroy other's lives. Billy asks Chloe if the baby is actually his.

Meanwhile, Cane and Lily get trapped together in an elevator at Jabot. Chloe dodges Billy's question. Lily demands to know why Cane had to hire her best friend to replace her as the Fresh Face of Jabot. Billy
admits he would never have been a good father or husband. Billy busts Chloe on her plan to make sure she trapped a Chancellor heir. Meanwhile, Lily and Cane have an intimate moment in the elevator.

Later, flashbacks establish that Billy and Chloe have a history. Chloe makes it very clear to Billy that the baby is Cane's. After Billy is gone, Chloe reveals to her unborn child that Billy is the father and she did plan to meet him, but not fall in love with him. At Jabot, Billy overhears Lily and Cane in the elevator and learns Lily has signed up for an online dating site. Phyllis blasts Nick for always running to Sharon's defense. Later, Nick and Phyllis, while still angry at one another, make love. Jack admits to Sharon that he is afraid she is slipping away from him.


AS THE WORLD TURNS

Emily and Dusty reconnect regarding their past history and have a near-intimate moment that is interrupted by the arrival of a family Bible bearing the Stenbeck family crest. There's a note attached, in Swedish, which Emily wants to pursue. Dusty isn't interested, but they discuss the history of Dusty as the true heir to the Stenbeck estate. They agree they're happy to have each other as friends. Emily goes off to get the letter translated by Vienna, and Dusty slips out.

Meanwhile, Meg is finally allowed to visit Paul in the hospital. He begs her to get him out of there. The ghost of James appears to him and tells him to act normal if he wants to get out. Paul adjusts his behavior, and Meg convinces Bob to release Paul to her care. Bob gives Paul a prescription and Meg takes Paul home but he's rattled when Dusty shows up. Dusty is surprised to see Paul's been released. Paul goes nuts and Meg tries to convince him they owe Dusty their gratitude, but Paul, prompted by the vision of James, is jealous of Dusty.

Meanwhile Emily contacts a lawyer named in the letter in Sweden who tells her that Dusty should wait for further instructions. Emily points out to Dusty that he could be inheriting the Stenbeck fortune and to take this seriously.

Janet is working and Jack is not, and he's restless and depressed. Janet feels sorry for him. Vienna encourages her to do something to help. Janet goes to Margo and pleads with her to give Jack his job back, confessing that she burned the evidence, not Jack.

Meanwhile Jack joins Carly and Sage in picking apples and they have a cozy time. Janet, back at the farm, is not happy to see them so cozy but Carly tells her to deal with it. Jack gets a call from Margo and goes to the police station, where Margo offers him his job back. He realizes Janet manipulated this, and he tells Margo that nothing has changed about what he did. Carly comes to make amends with Janet and they're making pies together when Jack returns. Jack tells Janet not to meddle, and later challenges Carly to ask herself why she's so eager to push Janet and him together, and that she needs to stop meddling too.


THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

During another run-in with Donna, Stephanie gloats that she and Eric are going to live out their lives together the way they were meant to. Donna can no longer stand in their way. Beth becomes worried after hearing from Brooke about Katie's miscarriage. Brooke is caught off-guard when Taylor delivers the news of her and Rick's upcoming wedding. Marcus gives Owen a stern warning to stay away from Donna while she's trying to reconcile with Eric. Owen reveals to Donna information that leads him to believe that she is still in great danger.


GUIDING LIGHT

Alan wants Bill to move out of the mansion, but he refuses. Beth tells Bill he needs to admit to Lizzie how he feels about her. Bill informs them both that Vanessa will be moving into the mansion. At Company, Vanessa tells Bill that he will regret all the time he spent playing games with Lizzie.

Vanessa also says that he will always have Dinah. Bill says he wants nothing to do with Dinah. Dinah overhears and is hurt by his words. Dinah says to Grady that her mother is replacing her in the mansion and that they are going to team up against her. Grady says he is going to go "earn his pay" and leaves.

Back at the mansion, Beth shows Alan the family photo album to help him
remember, but Alan says he remembers everything just fine. They share a kiss and Bill walks in with Vanessa. Grady is rifling through papers when Roxy walks in. He picks her up, shoves her into a cabinet, and continues his search. Dinah calls her mother and they decide to meet for dinner. Alan and Bill see Grady but don't suspect anything. Alan says he will make sure Lizzie sees that Bill does not deserve to be in the house nor with her. As Alan rolls away, Bill warns Alan that the wheelchair tips over sometimes. At Towers, Dinah accuses her mother of plotting with Bill. She warns her mother that there will be consequences. Vanessa is worried that Dinah's need for revenge will consume her. As Dinah leaves, Grady sits down next to Vanessa and introduces himself. He offers to buy her a drink, but she refuses. Meanwhile, Beth tells Alan that Bill and Lizzie love each other, but Alan doesn't give a damn. Beth smiles-that's the Alan she knows and loves.

Blake tells Mallet and Marina that Harley's house has been sold to Clayton. Mallet looks the paperwork over, purposely stalling. Meanwhile, Felicia tells Mel that Clayton wants to buy the house so Mel can keep an eye on Remy. Mel bangs on Remy's door and he answers looking disheveled and unkempt. Mel notices an M-CAT book lying on the counter. Felicia is excited that Remy is considering being a doctor. Remy asks them not to tell anyone just yet, but Felicia is too excited to keep it a secret. Back at Harley's house, Mallet sees the paperwork is all in order. Marina is really sad to let the house go. They decide to make it a party to clean out the stuff from the basement. Mallet invites Mel and the Boudreau family. The Cooper family and friends move things out of the basement
and remember the good times. Buzz makes a speech about how the house was a Cooper family project and was built on love. Marina says she is happy to see the Boudreau family have it. Marina is sad, however, and leaves. The Boudreau's arrive and Mel tells Mallet that they don't really want the house and maybe he can buy it down the line. Felicia overhears and tells everyone that after careful consideration they will not be buying the house. She leaves and Remy chases after her. Mel apologizes to Mallet for backing out of the house. Mel says that maybe they found someone who loves the house and they should own it.
