October 10 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

River calls Eden and explains to her that he needs to get out of jail tonight.
Moments later, Noah becomes smitten when Eden blows him off. Later, Michael and Lauren learn that River has been rushed to the hospital. Michael meets with a Federal prosecutor to convince him to set bail for River. Meanwhile, Eden makes an emotional scene at the hospital in order to slip River a bobby pin. Lauren has to leave to pick up Fen and Eden convinces her to let Eden stay with River until he wakes up. Later, River uses the bobby pin to free himself from his handcuffs. Michael gets the news that River is getting out on bail.

Meanwhile, River and Eden escape from the hospital. Nick and Victoria hold a press conference to announce Nick's return to Newman Enterprises. Later, Nick asks Sharon to return to Newman Enterprises as the spokesperson for Beauty of Nature again. Jack lies to Sharon about his business dealings with Adam. At the G.C.A.C., Adam and Jack call a forger named Frank Ellis and ask to meet with him. Jack lies to Adam saying he has a family emergency to avoid meeting the forger in person. Jack sends Adam, alone. Heather interrupts Adam's meeting with the forger and he panics when Frank recognizes her as the ADA that prosecuted him in Chicago. Adam covers quickly with a story that Heather seems to buy. Jack encourages her to take the job at Newman Enterprises. Victoria confronts Nikki about what she is hiding in regard to Victor and what happened in Mexico. Later, Nikki admits to her children that she believes Victor was in Mexico to kill Walter Palin, who was responsible for Sabrina's death. Nick is determined to get Michael to admit to him where Victor is. Nikki informs Victoria that Victor has severed all communication with Michael and could be anywhere in the world. Nikki reveals that the police are following her so maybe its time to send them on a wild goose chase.


AS THE WORLD TURNS

Brad and Spencer are preparing to do a remote segment for the new show, Oakdale 411 at a toy factory. Spencer is nervous but Brad and Katie are encouraging. Henry and Vienna come to have lunch with Brad and Katie and Vienna is instantly suspicious of Spencer. Later, Brad and Spencer have a terrific show and he praises her. Katie and Brad invite Spencer along for drinks with Vienna and Henry and Vienna isn't happy to see Spencer, especially when Katie suggests that Brad drive her home. He walks her into the hotel but when she goes up to her room, she opens the door and screams. Brad hears two hotel cops saying Spencer was assaulted and follows them to her room. Scared Spencer then asks Brad to stay with her. Meanwhile, Vienna is convinced Spencer is after Brad. When Brad calls Katie to tell her what happened, she decides to go to the hotel. Vienna tells Henry she's sure Spencer staged the whole thing. Later, Katie tells Brad she thinks Spencer might be too much for them to handle, but he thinks she did great, and doesn't want to give up the new show.

Meg assures Dusty that Paul is okay with him helping Paul out of his financial difficulties, insisting that Paul's made real progress in his recovery from his breakdown but Dusty is skeptical. He's known Paul a long time. Meanwhile, Paul is in NY hiring an actress and her son to travel the world for six months pretending to be Lucy and Johnny. Paul assures her it's legal, that he's working on a travel book for single mothers and she agrees to do it. Later, Dusty gets a call from Emily that she might have a lead on Lucy and Johnny and goes to Worldwide to meet her. Emily reveals that she heard from a New York forger she knows that he just processed two passports for a Lucy Montgomery and her son. She's also learned they used a fake credit card on Central Park West and Dusty heads for New York. Meanwhile, Paul returns and tells Emily he was in Cleveland, but she learns he was actually in New York and alerts Dusty, who finds and confronts the actress. Paul goes home to Meg and lies to her about his whereabouts until a livid Dusty bursts in. Dusty accuses him of the set up and warns Paul to stay away from his son. Meg then warns Paul that if he ever pulls a stunt like that again, she is gone.


THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Stephanie begins to lose hope of a reunion with Eric. Unable to get a straight answer from Donna about her change of heart, Eric removes his wedding ring, signifying that their marriage is over. When Eric arrives home ring-less and despondent, Stephanie offers him her love and support; not letting on that she feels victorious. Fresh from her heartfelt discussion with Taylor, Steffy instigates a similar conversation with Ridge. Brooke strikes many nerves with Taylor as the two rivals go head-to-head over the pending nuptials. Taylor makes it very clear that she will not lose another man due to Brooke.


GUIDING LIGHT

The presentation is starting soon and Lizzie is still missing. Bill tells Billy
he's going to tell Lizzie how he feels about her. Bill wants Lizzie to be part
of the presentation but Decker presses him to start without her or the deal is blown. Bill is forced to do it alone. Meanwhile, Grady presents his gift to
Dinah: Lizzie, bound, gagged, and blindfolded. Dinah hauls Grady off and smacks him. Grady silently mouths that Lizzie will miss the presentation. He saw an opportunity and took it. Later, Lizzie starts to scoot her chair, feeling around with her feet for her handbag so she can get to her cell phone. Bill, meanwhile, still hopes that Lizzie will walk through the door. Decker signals Bill to start. Bill, nervous, begins to read and has a hard time combining his lines with Lizzie's lines. He finally makes a decision and makes a winning speech without the teleprompter. Billy has never been more proud of his son. Grady, meanwhile, enrages Lizzie by circling around her. Lizzie flings something at Grady. Grady gives her a stern warning. Bill mentally berates himself after the presentation. Billy congratulates him on his success. Bill thinks maybe Lizzie didn't come on purpose so he'd look bad. He's upset that he didn't get a chance to tell Lizzie that he loves her. Bill considers calling Lizzie. Dinah races in
and is about to spill about Lizzie. Bill blows up and tells her that he may have ruined the whole deal. He says she was maybe right about Lizzie-she was just using him to help her family again. Dinah sees her chance with Bill. She "relents" and admits she heard Alan talking to Lizzie but never would have thought Lizzie would hurt Bill. Bill can't stand Dinah trashing Lizzie. He walks away, leaving Dinah alone. Lizzie, meanwhile, tells Grady that she's high profile and that people will alert the forces as soon as they realize she's missing. Suddenly they hear a police siren approaching. Lizzie changes her tone and calls him names. Grady takes off running up the stairs. Grady grabs Dinah and asks her if she turned him in. Dinah leads Grady into her office. The siren fades away in the distance. Dinah admits she's lucky to have a guy like him and thinks it might be good that he kept Lizzie from the presentation. Lizzie waits for the police to rescue her. She struggles to break her bonds. Lizzie loses hope when she no longer hears the sirens. She screams out Bill's name from the bottom of her soul. Bill stops short as a chill runs up his spine, as if he can feel her calling his name. For the first time, he is worried about her.

Natalia marks off another day on her calendar. One day closer to Rafe getting out of prison. Frank watches Natalia and is visibly moved. Olivia, meanwhile, crosses her room and then stops, breathless and dizzy. Her phone rings, she picks it up and collapses into a chair. Decker, on the other line, asks Olivia if she'd like to do a tour in China, leaving that day. Olivia, still breathless, agrees. She tries to muster up the strength to go. She tries to pack but is too out of breath. As a last resort, she makes a call to Natalia and asks her to come to work. Natalia, on the phone, listens to Olivia's plea. Natalia asks Frank if he can take her shift so that she can get to Olivia. Olivia admits she's in trouble. Natalia immediately guesses it's Olivia's heart. Olivia tries to hide her condition but Natalia knows better. Natalia is ready to help Olivia do whatever she needs to do. Decker knocks on the door. Natalia agrees to cover for Olivia if Olivia promises to see the doctor. Olivia admits she is too weak to go to China. They let Decker in and successfully hide Olivia's condition. He is excited about their pitch to do the presentation via satellite from Emma's
school to show that Galaxy stands for family values. Natalia convinces Olivia to get into the laundry cart so she can get to the hospital unseen. Olivia starts to laugh but then begins to cough and gasp for air. Natalia pushes her faster. Olivia, leaning heavily on Natalia, makes it into the exam room. Olivia is scared but does her best to hide it. Rick steps in and says that it'd be a good idea if Natalia stayed around because patients don't always remember what their doctor says.
