October 15 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Karen sees that Ana and Tyra's disappearance is bothering Neil. Karen suggests to Neil that the reason Tyra isn't in touch anymore is because she has feelings for Neil. Tyra frantically arrives looking for Ana. Tyra explains how Ana disappeared and just as Neil is about to call the police Detective Wallace arrives with Ana. At the coffeehouse, Colleen explains what happened on Loveline the previous evening to Lily and Devon. Lily advises Colleen to talk to Daniel. As Colleen leaves, Devon suggests calling Olivia to help Lily. Lily and Devon plan a trip for Lily to go visit Olivia in New York. Meanwhile, Gil Wallace leaves Ana with Tyra as Neil calls Devon to inform him that Ana is at Indigo. Tyra announces to everyone that she and Ana are going back to Seattle but Ana thinks of Genoa City as home now. Later, Neil convinces Tyra not to leave Genoa City just yet. Cane gives Chloe a stuffed animal for the baby and the parents-to-be make a small connection. Jill confronts Kay about her senior moment at the party and Kay gets defensive. Amber goes to Kay for advice. Both Kay and Chloe advise Daniel and Amber to go after what they want, which is each other. Amber calls Daniel to meet her at the penthouse to talk. Daniel gets Amber's message but doesn't want to meet her. As Amber is leaving, Jill stops her and asks if she has noticed anything off about Kay lately. Kay overhears her and is furious. Later, as Amber waits for Daniel at the penthouse, Colleen arrives at the magazine looking for him. Kay explains to Jill that the doctor's told her that she is merely getting on in age but Jill isn't convinced. Daniel arrives at the penthouse and reveals to Amber that he loves her.


AS THE WORLD TURNS

As Meg tells Paul he has to apologize to Dusty for the dirty trick he played, leading him on a wild goose chase after Johnny, Dusty asks Emily to go to Meg on his behalf and check on her. Emily is not happy about being their go-between and decides to blow it off. Paul, meanwhile, marginally apologizes to Dusty and then sees Emily in the lobby. He buys her a drink and they decide to team up to prevent a Meg/Dusty relationship. Meanwhile Bob visits Meg who tells her that her blood pressure is elevated and it's due to stress. Emily returns to Dusty
and lies, saying she checked on Meg and she's fine. Later, Paul tells Meg he's not obsessing any more and has the Dusty situation under control.

Alison and Casey are hanging out, both estranged from their partners. Kim finds Alison and asks her to talk to Chris, convince him not to leave for Africa because of Alison. Meanwhile, Aaron tells Chris that his marriage is over and it's because of Chris. Alison calls Chris and tells him she wants to meet. Chris gets his hopes up, but Ali tells him she is doing a favor for his mother by asking him not to leave on her behalf, but she didn't break up with Aaron because of Chris. Kim is hopeful about Chris changing his mind, but Bob tells her they have to respect Chris's choices. Casey runs into Emily in the lobby, and he tells her he thinks she rejected him because of Dusty. Meanwhile, Alison confronts Aaron about telling Chris something that wasn't true. Aaron calls Holden and says he needs to talk about a divorce. Later, Ali and Casey comfort each other by blowing off their classes and going skateboarding while Chris says goodbye to Bob and Kim and goes to Africa.


THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Taylor tries to get Rick to understand that her love for Ridge is strictly
nostalgic and should have no affect on their relationship. Katie displays signs of selfishness regarding Baby Jack. Stephanie returns to her conniving ways by trying to convince Ridge to reunite with Taylor so that Brooke, Nick and Jack can be a family. Afterwards, Stephanie makes a similar plea to Taylor. Fresh from his conversation with Stephanie, Ridge becomes enraged by what he witnesses at Jack's birthday party.


GUIDING LIGHT

Dinah notices the remnants from the ransom note and screams at Grady. Grady shows her a second note he has written and Dinah grabs it away from him. She goes off to try and intercept the note before Bill finds it. Grady gives her a hot kiss before she leaves, and Ashlee sees the whole thing. Ashlee calls Daisy and tells her all about it. Daisy is hurt, but is working undercover to bust a sleazy guy who sells cigarettes to kids. She tries to focus on her work, but is distracted when Grady walks in. She follows him and he is startled when he notices she is there. Daisy questions him about Dinah, and he tells her he is just working on a job. Daisy gives him back the key and tells him to give it to Dinah. Suddenly, there is a loud thump from the pipes below. Lizzie is attempting to make noise and has hit the pipes with a stick. Grady covers and snaps at Daisy, causing her to leave. Grady runs in to stop Lizzie. She tries to appeal to him and talks about love. Grady pulls out the key from Daisy and listens to what Lizzie says. Then, he snaps back into reality, cuts a lock of her hair for DNA, and gives her a bite to eat. After he leaves, she realizes the
key has fallen into her lap. Daisy talks to Ashlee about Grady and says she has moved on. She is perplexed by what kind of job Grady would be doing for Dinah.

In the mean time, Bill discusses the ransom note with Alan and suggests that Lizzie is faking it to throw him off the deal with Decker. He also tells Alan that Lizzie's clothes are gone, but Alan doesn't buy it. Suddenly, Roxy walks in. Knowing she would never leave her dog, Bill realizes this is for real. Alan wants to call in the family and get everyone involved. Bill says they can't do anything until they hear from the kidnapper because Lizzie's life is at stake. Alan tells Bill it's awfully convenient that Lizzie disappeared and Bill grabbed the reins at the company. Alan tells Beth about the ransom note and they discuss precautions necessary to protect the family. Dinah walks in and pretends to be shocked. Bill shows her the note, hugs her, and thanks her for being there for him. Bill is about to call the cops, but Dinah stops him and explains that they have to be careful for Lizzie's sake. She offers to check with the TV station to make sure the kidnapper is not trying to make a name for himself. When he exits, she pulls out Grady's note and starts cutting more letters and two more zeros.
Dinah tells Grady she left the second note, which asks for five million dollars. He is ecstatic, but she explains that she is not in it for the money; she is in it because of Bill. Meanwhile, Bill reads the second note and shows it to Beth and Alan. Bill calls Dinah and tells her he needs her there right away.
