NBA Lottery Tonight

SECAUCUS, NJ (CBS4) ―

The Miami Heat are counting on Dwyane Wade to bring them luck in getting the number one pick in the 2008 NBA Draft when the league holds its Draft Lottery Tuesday night.

There will be 14 teams hoping that the ping pong balls fall their way for a chance to draft either point guard Derrick Rose or forward Michael Beasley, considered the top two players in the draft.  That was the same case in 2007 when Greg Oden and Kevin Durant were considered the top players in that draft, Oden went number one to Portland followed by Durant who went number two to Seattle, Durant will represent the Sonics at the lottery.

Many stars will be in attendance in Secaucus, NJ tonight as team representatives including rap mogul Jay-Z whose nickname is Lucky Lefty and Larry Bird for Indiana.

The last time the Heat was in the lottery was in 2003 and that year they picked fifth and selected Dwyane Wade.
