Report: Dolphins Guard Donald Thomas Injured
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
The Dolphins miraculous turnaround in 2008 was aided by a relatively healthy starting lineup for almost all of the regular season. The 2009 campaign has already seen the first major injury to a Dolphins player. Right guard Donald Thomas suffered a torn pectoral muscle during a recent workout, according to
Scout.com.
Thomas was a sixth-round pick, but managed to land a starting position along a rebuilt Dolphins offensive line. He showed good progress as a starter through training camp, but broke his left foot during the 2008 regular season opener and wound up spending the rest of the season on injured reserve.
According to the report, Thomas is expected to miss most of training camp, but would be available for the Dolphins regular season opener.
