Jon Quick had 26 saves and defenseman Jack Johnson scored in extra time as the Los Angeles Kings beat the Florida Panthers, 4-3, in a shootout on Monday night.
Tomas Vokoun had 31 saves for Florida, which had gone to a shootout for the third straight night. Vokoun couldn't stop the Kings, though, who beat Florida for the fifth straight time.
Los Angeles, which finished 3-2 on its five game road trip, got power play goals from Johnson and Jarret Stoll to climb back from a 2-0 deficit. Randy Jones made it 3-2 at the 7:58 mark in the third period.
Victor Oreskovich scored with 5:05 left for the Panthers, who were 4-1 this season when being stretched past overtime.
Johnson, who had the best scoring chance in overtime after an end-to-end rush, beat Vokoun in the shootout with a deke to his forehand. He scored after Anze Kopitar shot wide on Los Angeles' first shootout attempt.
Quick stopped Rostislav Olesz and Steven Reinprecht before clinching the victory with a stick save on Stillman's backhand off a deke.
