Heat rookie forward Michael Beasley will play in Monday's Summer League game in Orlando against the Chicago Bulls. Beasley will wear a protective vest.
The Heat's number one pick participated in contact drills for a second straight day on Sunday.
Beasley resumed contact drills with the team on Saturday afternoon, his first regular basketball activity since slightly cracking his sternum three days earlier.
Beasley was struck by a teammate's elbow in a defensive drill Wednesday, causing the injury. The former Kansas State star, who averaged 26.2 points and 12.4 rebounds in his lone college season, had only participated in non-contact work since. The Heat will be without second year man guard Daequan Cook who will be out 2-4 weeks with a separated left shoulder.
