MMA, Kimbo Slice Come To South Florida
Fight Card To Be Televised On CBS4
SUNRISE, FL (CBS4) ―
One of the most popular growing sports is coming to South Florida Saturday October 4th when CBS' third installment of the ELITEXC SATURDAY NIGHT FIGHTS comes to the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise.
The Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight card will be broadcast live on CBS4 starting at 9pm and will feature Miami's Kimbo Slice making his second appearance in the primetime show. The main event will feature Slice taking on former UFC Superfight Champion Ken Shamrock.
Shamrock comes in with a career record of 26 wins, 13 losses, and two draws while Slice has won all three of his MMA matches including two by knockout.
The rest of the card has Jake Shields facing Paul Daley for EliteXC Welterweight title, a heavyweight fight between Andrei Arlovski and Roy "Big Country" Nelson, Murilo "Ninja" Rua versus Benji Radach in a middleweight bout, and a women's match between Gina Carano and Kelly Kobold.
