NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) ―
A mother and her family are left homeless Sunday after a fire forced them from their home and the mother claims the fire was no accident.
Anna Filsaime and her six children were in the home located at 8402 Northwest 5th Avenue when the fire was, as Filsaime claims, set by her ex-boyfriend and father to four of the kids.
Filsaime says her ex-boyfriend, Pierre, had come over to visit his children and never left the home after he said he was leaving. "He's the one and he's the one that out of the house right before it started," Filsaime said.
Filsaime told CBS4's
Dave Malkoff that the man she loved tried to burn everyone alive including her next door neighbor Cindy Harvey.
"Them children was in there asleep and you in the house and start a fire, that's out of line," a neighbor told CBS4.
Miami-Dade Police will not confirm if they're currently searching for Filsaime's ex-boyfriend.
Miami-Dade Police arson investigators and Miami-Dade Fire-Arson investigators are looking into the incident.
Filsaime and her children are staying with family members and were assisted by Red Cross representatives but are in dire need of help.
