Suspect Accused Of Campus Attack Arrested

COCONUT CREEK (CBS4) ― Police say they have arrested the man responsible for an attack against one woman on a Broward college campus.

Coconut Creek Police confirmed the arrest of 22-year-old Ian Braunstein in the attack at Atlantic Technical Center. Police allege Braunstein was the man who jumps from behind as a victim walked through the school's hallway, grabbed her neck and dragged her on the floor to a bathroom. The victim managed to scream and eventually get away, even though it appeared the suspect wanted to rape her.

Braunstein is being held on no bond. Police say they will not release any further information until they hold a news conference on Wednesday.

Police have not attributed another similar attack to Braunstein, which occurred on the North Campus of Broward Community College.
