Crist To Visit Israel, Promote Florida Business
dg
TALLAHASSEE (CBS4) ―
Gov. Charlie Crist has critical issues to deal with in Florida when the legislature reconvenes in June, including property tax reform, auto insurance and more, but before he tackles those, he's headed for the Holy Land in the name of business.
Crist will head to Israel next week to promote business between the country and Florida, traveling with several business people from the state as well as legislators. He has meetings scheduled at places including Israel Aerospace Industries and with Israeli leaders.
Crist is scheduled to spend the first half of the week in Jerusalem and the second part of the week in Tel Aviv. He will fly back to Florida next Sunday.
Crist announced his intention to make the trip in his January inaugural address, and it will be his first international trip as governor.
