A company is preparing to market gym shoes with a built in locator chip, which works like a GPS device to help you locate the wearer of the shoes.
CBS4's Tiffani Helberg reported that the wearer can either hit a button to send the location of the shoes to the company's monitoring center, or authorized users can contact the monitoring center to have the shoes located, virtually anywhere in the world.
Inventor Isaac Daniel, whose company is based in South Florida, said the shoes can help you get help, through the use of satellite based electronics.
The shoes start at about $350, and are expected to be available for children and adults in limited quantities in February.
